The question is whether she is a "she" yet.

While we're on the topic, let me get this "hater" thing straight. From it's usage of late, I gather the following:

If you (in your own mind) are on the side of all that is right, good, and just, and someone pokes fun at one of your idols, they are "haters".

If, however, you heap scorn, derision, and insults upon someone who is not of your own view, you are not a "hater".

Is that pretty much how it works?

And Mark, if you want to get into one of those "did"..."did not"..."did"..."did not" things, it could be fun again. I haven't done one of those since third grade.

I'm a little uncomfortable with the 9/11 widows that I've observed in the media.

What price security?

They seem willing to pay a much higher price than I would.

Coulter's comments would have gone unnoticed if alot of people didn't agree a little on some level.

I think you are on to something.

One word of advice: Don't poke a stick into the hornet's nest. Unless, of course, you are wearing a beekeeper's suit!!

You would actually enter into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent?

Geeez.....

The only reasons it's comments were noticed were:

A) It's exactly what some people want to hear.

B) They were extremely offensive to those who lost someone on 9/11, whatever their political leanings.

C) They were just plain offensive in terms of human respect and decency when they were used for political commentary.

So I've got a bad balls-to-brains ratio. Oh well.

'Tis a puzzlement.........

And the advice I received about context was given to me by two close friends...a retired priest and a retired evangelical minister, both of whom get along quite well.
1. Those who do not believe.
2. Yes.

So the secret is to sin away, and firmly believe that all will be when you croak.

Then why am I wasting my time obeying the rules?

Woo Hoo!!

P.S. Those who have not been subjected to "the word" but possibly would accept if given the chance as well as those who die in a noble and moral cause will not be kept out of Heaven, according to many sects. Reason? Three kinds of baptism..water, desire, and blood.

Man's rules or God's?

No man is free enough from sin to enter the Kingdom of God on his own merit. Hence, the Savior's accepting the sins of man on the cross....so that believers would have everlasting life.

IMHO, if one really believes....he cannot but have a wholesome life.

Sorry..I am not convinced. There are too many who openly profess to believe and still engage in activities that are far from "holy" or "moral".

Besides, I wonder about God's laws. Even the clerics I have as friends sometimes have difficulties with God's image in the old vs. the new testament. I prefer the forgiving God and have a problem with an angry and vindictive God. The good news is that man can never understand the true nature of the Creator and that is as it should be.
.
Usually I do not discuss religion because it is a very personal (or should be) thing. Sadly, I see people using it as a weapon and as an excuse for their actions, stating that they will be forgiven no matter what they do. Believe it or not,one of the attractions of Islam is that a convert has all previous transgressions erased. What an incentive for a habitual sinner!!

Lots of people make lots of claims. I'll stick to what the "Good Book" says.
