Well, we stopped a Jordanian national who was built up in the press to be a major enemy of the US -- probably replacing Sadr, who previously held that title.

Zarqawi was built up in the press because the Administration spent $24 million on that and other PsyOps objectives.

How bad a guy was Zarqawi? Definitely bad enough to snuff out. But maybe not the enemy mastermind our government spent our money to tell us he was.

The other interesting thing about this guy was that he may have been in the crosshairs a while back, and we may have let him go for what appears to be very manipulative reasons.

Technically, you did not stop evil, but I think you ought to at least be able to get off your high horse long enough to at least agree that Zarqawi is personification of evil, regardless of your political views.
