When will Blockbusters Video go out of business?
Video on demand is the wave of the future. Loss per share is $2.92. How long before it goes?

well whenever they do it's still too late for our local video guy. They killed him off 2 years ago. CVS did it to our local pharmacy doc as well.

From my own usage, I would still say that it has miles left. We frequently travel and grab the latest titles for the dvd player in the car. Withought waiting for shipment from an internet company or downloading and burning your own (which still is far from perfected), it is much easier to go to Blockbuster and pick the movies on the way.

Their name would be very7 valuable to a Netflix or on-demand rival, I'm surprised they haven't entered the game.

I think Blockbusters is owned by Jesus Freaks so I boycot them. I also boycot Walmart and Home Depot for other reasons.

Blockbuster is a publicly-traded subsidiary of Viacom. The majority shareholder of Viacom is Sumner Redstone (who I know from working years ago for National Amusements / General Cinemas back when I lived in Boston). Whether or not he's a Jesus Freak I dunno though.
