Ryan,
If you look at the RGruppe website it is more of a clubhouse bulletin board. No forum so nothing to moderate. CLub events announcements, etc. While it is less work it is also less involving, less reason to go there regularly.

dan...very true..and this is really the major difference that rick alludes to..it's the presence of a competing forum that he feels could potentially point traffic away from pelican to mid9's website. i don't see that becoming a serious problem..but i do agree that we should do everything we can to promote pelican and discourage much discussion of competing catalog companies. none of this organizing would be possible without pelican..and that's only one small part of the benefit of being a pelican member, as you and i both well know..

I think we agree that loyality to Pelican is a fundamental for us. I'm sure we are being recieved in the same spirit. I'll always be a Pelican, but this new Mid9 speaks to me in a different way. Here are genuine peers who have lived or who are about to live the mid-year 911 experience. Very, very cool for my tastes. Let's make some noise!
