Wow! Been out of town for a night and I'm surprised the thread's still going. Thanks for the constructive advice! Oddly enough, I had my first good night's sleep in a couple of weeks last night in St. Paul. While wining, dining, and sleeping in a mansion (not mine) may help, I think it was the matress. I'll find out tonight. If so, problem easily solved. If not I'll try....(in this order and based on the thoughtful advice offered here)

-sex......But honey, it's "medicinal".

-Balvenie 15........My favorite!

-Melatonine............Mmmmm turkey!

-XMA..........what the hell, sounds cool if nothing else.

-Try drifting off to sleep dreaming of 50 sq ft of lawn and a pool in Phoenix....someday.........someday.........zzzzzzz zzzzz

-all of the above in rapid sequential order followed by Le Mans.........just got it on dvd for my B-day.

-Doctor prescribed medication........."Gee Doc, I'm sleeping even less than before. I thought you said Viagra would help!"

Thanks!

The mattress may be the issue. We recently bought some memory foam mattresses - and they are the dog's bollocks. Fabulous sleep. The brandname is Tempurpedic (sp?) and comes from Sweden - though this foam was supposed to have been developed by NASA. Maybe it's all bull**** - but our sleep has improved 100%.

Even the most serious earplugs won't block out THAT much sound. I use Leight's "Leight Sleepers" (my roommates party a bit more than i do...) which block out about 35 decibels, and I can still wake to the alarm clock in the mornign without problem.

Yes, those do help a lot, we have a Pelican member here who is a dealer. No BS, they do work. Here is his contact info, JamesKoss@thebackstore.net; I'm getting some pillows too.
