You answered 85% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:
85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)

3. In what year was the Constitution written?
1776 is not correct.
1787

8. Which of the following amendments to the Constitution does NOT address or guarantee voting rights?
24th Amendment is not correct.
7th Amendment

14. Who selects the Supreme Court justices?
The Senate is not correct.
They are appointed by the president. (NOTE: This is the response given on the official United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Web site. The president selects the justices; however, they must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. If they are rejected by the Senate, then the president must choose a new nominee, who, again, is subject to Senate approval.)

DOH... Senate Approval... Not selection. TRICK QUESTION!

You answered 95% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:

0-20%: Maybe you're still thinking too much about the Old Country -- and that's where you should probably be.

25-40%: Mmmm. Do you really want to be a citizen? This kind of performance isn't going to impress those nice immigration folks.

45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.

65-80%: Hey, you may make a good citizen yet! Look at your wrong answers and a little revision should do the trick.

85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)

Friggin Form........

100%, although I must admit I had to guess on the application for naturalization form. I wouldn't expect anyone that was born and raised here to know that one.

Chris and John --

I agree the question was awfully worded. It should have said "who nominates" the Supremes, who are then confirmed with the "advice and consent" of the Senate.

Article II, Section 2, Para 2:
[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

Though, IMHO, the little words "advice and consent" have been stretched to their absolute limit by the processes currently used in "confirmation."

I missed the Chief Justice and the INS Form. I'm so fricken thrilled that I'm good enough to be a citizen. Or maybe just a history nerd?

I want to see the illegal immigration test. It must be pretty easy, since it allows 10,000% more people into this country than the US citizen test.

It's probably something like:
Here, jump this fence or walk across this line, OK you pass.

You answered 85% of questions correctly.

15. How many representatives are there in Congress?
50 is not correct.
435

18. Who has the power to declare war?
The president is not correct.
Congress

19. What INS form is used to apply to become a naturalized citizen?

Form N-200 "Petition for Naturalization" is not correct.
N-400 "Application for Naturalization"

Missed a couple of pretty important ones, I guess.

On the other hand, I wonder how most folks south of the 49th parallel would do on a comparable test for Canada - or any other country, for that matter...

90 % correct. But as a 10 th gen american I can argue that you are wrong about the 10% that I missed.

An American is anyone that covets freedom above all else. An american is anyone who renounces all the ways of the europeans and adopts the ways of freedom. A real american is someone who respects the ways of the Indians, so called native americans. A real american is anyone who upholds the indian bill of rights. That bill of rights is the same as ours, but slightly differen't words.

Bottom line, all rights are endowed by a creator.

I passed the test with flying colors...I was born here. (edit) so were my parents, my grandparents, and my great grand parents. I kind of lost track of the generations before that. Can't help but wonder what a descendant of Chief Joseph would think of all this...

I think 95% of people here are lying or all that actually took the test aren't posting!! I got 65% and I don't think that's too bad. My score is probably more realistic and I think it's higher than the majority of people actually taking the test. Either that or I'm qualifed now for Mexico's citizenship. That couldn't be too bad. Eva where are you????????

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! There you are!
