Just watched NOPI TV for the first time - their events attract a lot of fine chicks

OK, the cars are rice but the girls are nice. NOPI is too young for me but at least their events aren't a geek fest or even rednecky like NASCAR. They mix in drifting, racing, blingy rice car show and Xbox contests. Plus they manage to attract great looking girls for jello matches and bikini contests. Why can't PCA have events like those?

Because I hate to see that picture "this thread is useless...."

OK, so the photos didn't link very well, so if you want to see the hot chicks, go here http://gallery.purehotmodels.com/2004/album107/ahw

Because the PCA is a bunch of middle-aged gray hairs. I guess they could all bring their daughters...

I watched the NOPI drags one time. Some of the cars were surprisingly fast. They have weird classes, based on how many "power adders" (or whatever they call them) a car has, such as NOS, turbo charging, sill lights, etc. It struck me that the faster classes had an attrition rate well beyond that of top fuel. It was rare to see both cars complete a race.

Girls who are still in the, "he's cute, look at that tatoo..." phase. The "you're how old? and you still live with your parents and work at Quickie Mart to buy parts for your VW?" phase comes a bit later.

I have a 1.3 liter engine with a turbo pushing 1.5 bar making well over 400HP. (and did this problem free for over 3 years) You should see the looks on the guys faces when they come over to visit in the pits at a DE because they want to find out why that little rice car is so fast.

BTW- I hate drag racing.

Its apart right now, I overheated it to the tune of 280° because I am stupid. I am looking foward to bigger numbers soon.

I also do not like the whole Number One Parts Inc. scene. 90% of the cars a all show and no go.

Not to hijack the thread, but a few weeks ago I got the ride of my life in a 5.9L twin-turbo that turned out an honest 6 BAR of boost and has done so for almost 60,000 miles, including dozens of hard runs at the strip. In street tune he limits boost to just under 5 bar. No NOS, but it did have water injection. I saw the dyno sheets (Mustang chassis dyno) where he made 1300 lb-ft at 2600rpm at the rear wheels. No joke.

It obviously wasn't a 'ricer' though.

..... also, exhaust gas temps (EGT) momentarily touched 1400 degrees, and hovered at 1250 degrees through our entire run at 65 psi boost. Yikes.

I think I'm seeing a connection there?

Yeah, a rotary engine is a bit different than a piston engine.

The connection was a combination of an inderdive pulley kit that was slipping and a thermostat that stuck shut.

Problem fixed, Thermostat removed and replaced with a hollowed out one. Better pully / belt combo installed.

We are expecting 430-450 to the wheels.

NOS, 6 bar, boost, blah, blah, blah. You guys are missing the point. Did you see some of them chicks that Masraum linked? OK, where are the guys who are into Asian girls? I thought I'd at least from them.

There are "plenty o'toole's" there. Should we feel bad? These guys have 'em draped over their cars, we have the bikini and Grid Girls threads....

Apparently this site is unfriendly to having their pictures linked, so I had to just give you the link to the site.
