Like the guy who finished the Tour last week with a broken collarbone. I can push pain away for a while but these guys are superhuman doing it during a race for weeks.

Superhuman without a doubt. The only thing keeping them out of leagues with Superman and Batman, is they shave their legs.

But then again, Superman and Batman wear tights.

Yah, knew about it too. The good thing about cycling is that there's not weight on the hip, just motion. I'm sure it is quite painful, but maybe that's why cycling ain't so bad - endorphin high....

Cycling - the only sport where we take nearly naked people, put a styrofoam helmet on them, then crash them to the pavement at 35 plus mph and scream GET UP GET UP GET UP!!! And after you do, keep your buns racing that bike 5-6 hours a day for the next 3 weeks.

Wussies need not apply. angela

What is all this b!tching about the tour? I think its a MUCH BETTER tour now that there is some real uncertainty as to who is going to come out on top.

The American press tends to fixate on the 'superheros' of the tour, and talk them to death. Its nice to see a real race.

I thought the only real sports were motor racing, bullfighting and . . . darn , forgot the third, need to brush up on my Hemingway. Boxing, maybe?
