1) a class 1 troll who just howls in laughter as he provokes people into confrontation

or

2) he really thinks the way he does

Either way it is hopeless. He loves god and country, hates gays and democrats. There is no reasoning, no sane debate, merely the ravings of the lunatic fringe.

Unfortunately, he is emblematic of the reason that many here have a negative viewpoint on Christianity. For someone that professes to be a devout Christian, his hated and fear run deep and wide. Those are characteristics I do not see in any of the "good" Christians I know (and I know quite a few).

The only reason I bother to comment on this is that I'm getting pretty sick of his bile. Life has been much better since I started writing off pretty much everything he says, and refuse to engage him directly in discussion. If more people ignored him, eventually he'd just be yelling to himself...likely the only person that actually believes what he's saying anyway. Even the conservatives here appear to be distancing themselves from him, except for maybe Fint.

But in the end, he'll spew his fear and hate no matter what I or anybody else does or says. Such is the lot of the only "true" warrior left in the world, and the only "true" patriot in these parts.

Reformed addicts seem to follow a certain trend...at least in my experience...I've got 2-3 Mul's lurking about in my family. All of them "found God" in one way or another and just have to tell you call about it....while popping around the corner for a couple of pulls on the 3' Grafix.

In person he's a nice guy, beleive it or not.

Not for me.

Only time I see what my sole ignoree is saying is when he is quoted.

This went from a would you go to a gay bar thread to one about Mul pretty quick, what is that about?

I've been to a 1/2 dozen in the past 6 years or so. Mostly with my gf at the time, or gay/lezbian friends of mine.

I only got hit on once, and the gay guys there, made such a big deal about the guy have crappy straight-dar, that I wasn't offended.

I don't care. But I don't drink as much at them. Don't want to slip and say the wrong thing.

Didn't experience the gay bar thing for the first 25 years of my life. Then, last summer, my fiancee and I bought a condo which is in the same building as a gay bar (basement gay bar, ground floor bakery, 2nd floor residential condo, top floor my residential condo). Being neighborly, we decided to check it out.
Actually turns out to be a pretty cool place, and the bouncers/staff/patrons are great. Instead of having some college dive where we'd have barf on the sidewalks, people screaming in the street and jerks catcalling my girl when she's trying to go home, we have invariably polite, cool people who have actually made an effort to be good neighbors. All in all it has turned out to be a very positive experience.

I can say for certain, that extreme views are posted both (left & right). I think that most people on the board are middle of the road, just like most of America. We have our resident looney toon (Patsy) whom I almost never agree with. Guess I am not drinking the right kind of Kool-Aid. Then we have on the other side of the spectrum Mul, who I tend to agree with on most occasions, except for his canyon driving thread and this one. Hey if it don’t happen in my house, WTF who cares. And yes there are some queens that I know that I can not stand, then there are guys who I hang out with to shoot pool, watch sports, work on cars, typical guy stuff, but they just dig other guys (don’t pretend to understand that but hey what ever makes ya happy)

With the lock of both the Dem and Rep parties on the political system there is no room for a candidate who has Middle of the Road views. I think this is extremely unfortunate.
