Can you name the band?
The real challenge is seeing the subject matter through my poor photography and failing digital camera.
Here's an easy one. To say this man is incredible is a gross understatement- ![]() ![]() This one is a bit harder. Not much of a hint but these guys are one of my three favorite bands which also includes White Stripes and Radiohead. They put on a fantastic show. ![]() ![]() I wouldn't even get this one. My daughter turned me on to these guys. They were excellent. Unfortunately their time slot put them against the guys above. ![]() ![]() Last edited by SLO-BOB; 07-30-2006 at 07:31 PM.. |

Second band-out of Saint Louis. Playing with the Pretenders and Shirley Manson in Atlantic City next week. Third band-no one will get this even though they play L.A. a lot and have some MTV2 stuff-The Living Things. Very Good. More on the venue-It's called Hedgepethfest. First year. It was really in the middle of nowhere even by Wisconsin standards. It had an amazing line up, but was not advertised at all. Flaming Lips, They Might Be Giants, Hot Hot Heat, Primus, etc. The attendance was so small you could pretty much hang out with national acts who just milled around the crowd. Being up front and center was no problem even for Primus. You could tell most of the acts were well aware of how poorly it was marketed. Considering it was located between Milwaukee and Chicago the attendance should have been huge. Next wek is Lolapalooza in Chicago. I'm sure that will be crazy and really, the line up isn't any better. In fact, many of the same bands are playing there. Now you know where Elvis is. In the middle of nowhere at a concert attended by few. ![]() Hmmmm-where to sit? Too many choices. ![]() Sometimes it's just plain embarassing being from Wisconsin. This sign outside a football field sized area surrounded by a chainlink fence. Can't imagine why noone used it considering such mosh bands as the Flaming Lips? ![]() ![]() |
