Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center: - I love this critic's review!!
Richard Roeper (and a lot of other critics from both sides of the aisle) loved Oliver Stone’s “World Trade Center.”
He’s apparently not a big fan of Ann Coulter, though … from his review: It takes heart of Stone to relive 9/11 August 9, 2006 BY RICHARD ROEPER Sun-Times Columnist It would be my great pleasure to arrange for a screening of Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center" for Ann Coulter and some of the families whose loved ones were killed or seriously injured on 9/11. It could take place in New York, New Jersey, any place, any time, all expenses on me. All I ask is, after the screening is over and the lights go up, that Coulter should stand and face these families and explain to them why she believes they experienced anything but the most profound emotional pain on that day and on all the days that have followed. Of course, Coulter will never go for something like that. That would take character and humanity, and she's an unconscionable pig. Good for him! He'll take heat for that statement, but it's spot on. In a few years, Coulter will hopefully be a drunken, disgraced has-been. Can't happen soon enough. Full review here: http://www.suntimes.com/output/movies/cst-ftr-wtc09.html

Coulter claimed they did not experience "the most profound emotional pain on that day and on all the days that have followed."????
I must have missed that, please elaborate. Generally criticisms of people work best when they are factual and accurate, this is neither.

Local reviewer liked it as well. It was insightful without being inciteful. ,
I do not appreciate Ms. Coulter either, but freedom of speech permits her to say what she says, no matter how outlandish. What I object to are all personalities, no matter what their ideology (or country), who make their living by spewing hate and causing even deeper rifts in the fabric of civilization. Just once I would like to see some of these folks do something meaningful for society rather than constant bomb throwing. Construction is always more difficult than deconstruction.

"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities. ... I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."
Hatemonger Ann Coulter's assessment of some of the widows of 9/11 victims.

I can't wait to see it. I hope many Americans do. It seems we've slipped back into a false sense of security. Too many people have forgotten that there are folks who wish for this country to be wiped out. I've also got a strange feeling about that fellow in Iran...He says the world will have it's answer on the 22nd about their nuke program. Hope it is a just a verbal answer instead of something else. Standing outside on 9-11 and seeing Air Force 1 on final approach to BAFB with a pair of F-16's flying cover is still stuck in my mind.

Who gives a rat's arse what Coultier thinks. She's as relevant as tits on a bull.
"WTC" is there to make money. Period. I can't think of any reason to go see it.

I worked on the film which was shot mostly in L.A., (the producers and Oliver felt that replicating Ground Zero in N.Y. would be traumatic for some New Yorkers) and I think alot of people will be suprised that the story is more about the will and survival of 2 people (Nick Cage and Michael Pena) who are trapped in the rubble as opposed to incidents leading up to the tragedy. It should be a good film.

I see why you like the review, it parrots your beliefs, what is not to like?

Whatever you say daddy .... First you argued that she didn't say it, then you argued that it was only "some" of them that enjoyed their husbands' deaths, now you seem to be saying that ... well I'm not sure, but I guess that the quote above doesn't say what it says. Go buy another Coulter book. Just don't take it "literally." Too hateful that way.

FWIW I flew back from Philadelphia 9/9 and it still freaks me out a little, my coworker stayed another week and had to come back to L.A. on the train.

Statistically speaking, many of those surviving wives would be divorced from their husbands by now if those husbands had survived. They were in bad marriages and hated the guy, and stood to get nothing if they left. Their husbands' spectacular deaths were no more than a financial windfall for them. They are a disgrace to the women that lost husbands they loved.
Funny too, or more like really sad, is how this disaster finally takes on an air of legitimacy for the true believers of the left only after it is made into a movie. The same folks on the left that have for years been apologists for the kind of men that planned and executed these attacks now sympathize with the victims instead. All because their favorite director and actors portrayed the events in a moving way. They were initially unmoved by the attacks themselves. Hollywood has succeeded in making it all real for them. There is an awful lot wrong with that...

I hope Nick Cage gets cancer of the anus for being in this film. The government should make the film company donate %100 of the movie proceeds to charity.

Agreed. Hollywood had a golden opportunity to salvage some of their previous reputation by making 9/11 films and donating all proceeds to charity.
They chose profit, which is why I will never watch either of the 9/11 films.
