YEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAWWWWW!!! Just goes to show what kind of people "our leader" connects with. Oil billionaires, Jesus freaks or moonshining rednecks. . . Not really anyone else. We're doomed. ![]()

Your perspective amazes me. This fellow had a youthful indescretion as a young man and then paid his debt to society. Helping a friend make some moonshine in rural Georgia in the 60's was about equivalent to helping a friend remove the catalytic converter from their 911 today. Then a squeaky clean record of serving his community since....sounds like exactly the type thing a pardon would be a good gesture for. Contrast that to the recent, big-time crooks that the previous president pardoned to keep/get out of prison without serving their time. Guys (or their wives) that contributed large amounts of money to him. GW receives no benefit from pardoning this guy...other than to acknowledge that rehabilitation and community service are valued.

Used to be a lot of dry counties in the Southeast...making moonshine was considered civil disobedience...a way to protest against an unreasonable law. I am surprised that liberals find the act so despicable. I imagine if it were growing their own pot (for medicinal purposes...LOL)...the libs would think it was cool. Too bad they let politics get ion the way of common sense.
