You've pretty much described most new Porsche owners for the last ~20 years. I sold them new in '86, and there were plenty of dikfores buying them then. I suppose it's gotten even worse.

When I see someone driving one of those new 997s, all I can usually think is "gay guy going for a pedicure". If he's driving fast, I figure he's late for the appointment. Oddly enough, the only new Porsches I like are turbo Cayennes. I have a few friends w/ them, they are badass. Ridiculous, but no more so than other $100k sedans. YMMV, as they say.

lol. ....It's funny to see insecure air-coolers hate on owners with nice new shiny Porsches.

That's 'cause your words will be lost due to the doppler effect when you hit second gear in that car.

To the defense of MG owners, You can blindfold an MG owner, and he can operate, and identify everything under the bonnet or the boot. The majority of the MGs at a show are driven there and cost less than a 3.0 rebuild to complete the entire car. Plus they are classic and fun...even with their demons!

If I had the space? A '62 MGA...the last of the good ones, IMHO...
Loved the inset grille, the horizontal taillights....I'd like mine with the removable hardtop, please...:) (edit) And it wouldn't bother me one iota that the Boxster would be faster. I just love the lines of the MGA...the Healy of the era as well, and damn... Bugeye Sprites are so cute... In my mind, these are pure "sports cars", my '72 911S is a G.T. car...

I like old MG's.

...and Triumph's.

...and Healy's

pretty much anything British from the early 60's and back...

Drago,

This is what's great about going to Lime Rock. How many other places can you be driving home from the track, and look back in your rearview mirror to see a vintage racecar tailing you through the beautiful countryside?

who are you, Jimmy Buffet?

No fru fru drinks allowed. Just blue label vodka and maybe some MD20-20. Men's drinks.

When I go to Silicone Valley, all I see are boobie. Big, big boobies.

Oh wait, that's when I go to see my shrink in Beverly Hills. NM. Wrong "valley."
