Boxters??? Haha

THEY might as well be driving an MG. Its just a sports car to them. Never had one wave yet. Most 911 ac cars wave espcially the over 40 crowd and guaranteed over 50. Frankly I can afford a much newer 911 but prefer my 74 Carrerra clone. The newest I woiuld own ismaybe an 87 turbo. Other than that why not just buy a Lexus or benz roadster?
Is it so wrong to feel superior? I love to see these yuppie types just getting screwed when they get their cars serviced at a shop where I pick up some parts now and then. They leave their cars their for weeks not even knowing that the shop does not have the hardware and software to diagnos the car so it sits forever as teh shop replaces module and after module till they get lucky. One of these wine drinking affected types said to me scornfully when I ordered a Beefeater Martini with an olive, up, slightly dirty---"who drinks cocktails anymore?" He was so out of it he did not even know that everyone is sick to death of Merlot and Chardonnay and has returned to their roots. Well shaken or stirred stuff. ANd they drive what they think is an in car.

Isn't "Posting Under The Influence" a ticketable offense?

And your point is?? About waving or tune ups? Or maybe about call brand martinis?

I see by your www that you sell tune up videos. Maybe you can teach these shops how to do it in less than "weeks." :D

Or maybe not.

Did you find a donor car Wayne? I saw your post in the classifieds when you first put it up (more or less) and was going to reply, but the car I was going to refer you to was gone already. Somebody must have the same idea?

I will anxiously await your results! :)

Jeez Lueez. Spoken like somebody who really has no idea.

Most of us on this board love our air cooled Porsches, but we also have serious respect for the water coolers. He11, many of us own both. The comment about the Lexus or Benz roadster just shows that you've never driven one of these cars. If you had, you wouldn't make a naive statement like that.

I see you found the thread in OT Doug.

Congrats on the 986. I'm looking forward to your story on this one :)

When I had my '88 on more than one occasion, I had boxster owners go out of their way to wave/flash.

The Chef 08-26-2006 10:29 PM

I guess that answers your post!

Porcupines and Porsches??? Pricks are on the outside of Porcupines :)

To the defense of MG owners, You can blindfold an MG owner, and he can operate, and identify everything under the bonnet or the boot. The majority of the MGs at a show are driven there and cost less than a 3.0 rebuild to complete the entire car. Plus they are classic and fun...even with their demons!

I see a silver boxster on a regular basis, driving near where I live. She always waves back at me when I'm in the 911. Hey wait a minute thats MY WIFE lol
