Then there are 'Bark Scorps' which live mostly in Mexico but also in the SW desert. They are very small and almost clear but a little whitish. Found much of the time in chunks of cactus skeleton laying around and fire wood, etc. One nasty SOB and haved been lethal to kids. I think there may be a neruo-toxin component but also very painful.

Man the rattlers here must be dumb or something. I've come across three in the last year while jogging and none of them gave a warning shake. I'm pretty fat and slow so luckily I spotted them before placing a foot in a bad spot.
