Does anybody have a PSP and like it?

I was just given a PSP and I'm not sure if it's something I'd use.
Does anybody have one of these and do you use it and like it?
Should I sell it?

PSP's are kinda cool but Sony are ruining it. There are a lot of hacks out there for it but Sony keep updating the Firmware to stop the hacks.

The little disc (UMD) that it uses is not being embraced as a standard so less people are publisinhg for it. It'll probably die a painful death in the next year or two.

If you get 2 gb memory sticks for it or the 4 gb hard drive (bulky) you can store some movies, music and photos on it.

Battery life is terrible. You can get a bigger one but that lasts longer but it's bulky.

If you add the bigger battery and hard drive at the same time it balances the thing out and they make good hand grips.

Has WIFI and a browser that works really well but inputing text is difficult to do w/out an additional keyboard.

At this point PSP's are best suited as entertainment devices for kids while traveling, car rides, plane, or anywhere else you may need to distract them with games or movies. If you are not into gaming that's about all they are good for.

If you decide to dump it let me know what you want for it. I could use a second one for the kids.

Since I only opened the box to see what it was I'm thinking its worth around $200.

I'll check ebay(which I hate).

I love mine. It is like a small version of the PS2. I have the 2GB memory card in it, which currently has stored game data, and 8 CDs, with room for about 16 more CDs. I use it watch movies when flying, or somewhere when I need to kill a few hours. I use the MP3 while riding my motorcycle. The WIFI has come in handy for checking the weather or looking for directions on yahoo maps, when out on the bike. Also the WIFI allows for on-line gaming. I can easily get lost for a few hours at night playing SOCOM on-line. As far a battery life, I get about 8 hours of general use with the standard battery. This goes down the more the WIFI is on. I would recommend keeping it and buying a few games (used are about 1/2 the price) and a few movies to check it out. The more you use it the more you will like it (just like asparagus). It is a fun little toy.
