Welcome len, you are making the right move. Now all you have to do is to get used to giving up your hard-earned money so the dems can give it to someone who isn't hard working. You will also have to stop singing the gimme gimme gimme chant so often used by dems.
Other than that, being a republican is pretty good. |

That'd be great if that's what the (r) were actually for.
Think of Iraq - giving taxpayer dollars to a non-deserving, politically-connected bunch of political cronies like Haliburton and their ilk via no-bid contracts. It's the biggest social welfare program in history. If the Republicans got serious about stopping illegal immigration, balancing the budget, stopping corporate and personal welfare handouts to leechers, improving education and strengthening the country rather than weakening it - I'd damn well support them. Of course they'd have to publicly denounce the Religious Wrong too. On the other side I find it nauseating to have to side with those that encourage government dependence, promote welfare programs, similarly do nothing to curb illegal immigration (although the reasons are different), etc. It's just an example of how the two-party system screws America out of any meaningful leadership. It's like having your executioner ask "do you want the bullet in the heart or the head?" Great choices. . .

Amway........"The American Way"....I remember doing a paper on them in Business school, contrasting them with Avon and Fuller. Different animal. Founded on the story that VanAnsel and Devos made the first batch of their detergent in a basement. Actually, a chemist approached them with the product since they had a health suppliment company.
