Maybe you should explain why you have your own government.

More accurately, I am my own government.

You really don't see it, more is the pity.

The way to eliminate government is to stop being "under" it as much as possible.

The type of government we now have in America, as I stated, is because it has sold you on the need for it. You've bought off on the need.

You don't need government, as we have it today, at all.

dd74 10-09-2006 11:30 AM

You don't know me well enough to make such grand assumptions about my relationship w/ government. Again, comes the flaw of your own myopic viewpoint of individuals and your need to project that narrow view on society in general when under a governing body.

Tell me, as your own government, you are self-sustaining? You do not need water, power, relations with others. You pay no taxes. Can you break whatever law you want and say to any and all intervening authorities that you have diplomatic immunity?

In someways I agree with this statement, but should I try to withhold financial support of that which I don't need...well those that aren't needed can make my life miserable really quickly.

You may substitute "one" for "you" if that helps you any.

Again, your question indicates you don't have any understanding of my statement.

If I have no need for government, why would I encumber myself with the trappings of a government? I find it fascinating that, for the most part, you're focused on force, which is what government is all about. YOu've gotten that far, but no further.

I pay those bribes every single year. That's to keep bad men from coming and killing me and my family, and taking my stuff.

Still, the federal government says it's voluntary, so, it must be, must'nt it?

The irony of this is that you depend upon the government more than most of us here.

For me, the 1st of the month means a mortgage payment, not a fat pension check in the United States Mail courtesy of Uncle Sam.

I call sull***** on this rant.

So, when your 62 or 66, or whatever birthday rolls around, you're not taking the check?

Or, your tax sheltered 401k is going to be terminated, when exactly?

As I stated, I'm going to collect any monies owed, pure and simple.

I will take my check the way a hungry dog takes a rare t-Bone steak.

I just won't be heard to complain loudly that it tastes like ***** :)

Rodeo 10-09-2006 11:48 AM

Sorry Pat. You're doing a lot of talking, but instead of walking the walk, you're being ferried around on government transportation :)

I've stated that folks want a service, need to pay for it by voluntary association. Where I'm working now, folks come there by choice, same as they did where I worked in CA. There is, however, no healthcare in this country not tainted by government, by law every doctor must submit his bill to Medicare for any patient over age 65, even if said doctor was offered cash for his services.

So, are you saying that every man and woman in healthcare can't state "government" takes it's funds at gunpoint because he or she work in a healthcare field?

I hope not.

Er, no, that's simply and profoundly not true. That you think it is means your thinking is muddied.

M.D. Holloway 10-09-2006 11:59 AM

You ain’t your own government fool! The best you can do is tote a shotgun if somebody walks your land wit out permiss.

Your telling me you are self contained, living a vacuum? I don’t think so.

From the air you breathe to the food you eat to the gas you put in the tank - the Gov has an influence. From the protection provided you on so many levels it would make you dizzy the gov has your back. From the drugs you take to the radio and TV that entertain you the gov has a hand in it.

You may think that you are once removed but only in spirit. Physically they own you and all that is yours. In return, pay what you owe and don’t blow anything up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Oh ya, Taxes are due April 15th. Please make checks payable to the IRS.

Pat, I understand you very well. Hypocrisy isn't at all hard to understand, and you're fitting the bill quite well.

And government is about force, man. It's the force to take from you taxes, and the force that paves your iced-over roads in return.

Your fundamental problems is you don't understand yourself -- you're mouthing off about not needing government, but meanwhile you sit here and suck off the government's tit by simply being an American. You seek a country in which to live, and have picked this one, yet rail against its government. If you really had any nuts about yourself, you'd overthrow the government like a real reactionary, not just wither away, as you seemed to have done, while stating nonsense about being your own government.

I mean, honestly, you don't even have the benefit of living a lie. You're just jerking yourself around.

9-11 Commission (National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States)

*20th century government constructs truncated.*

Customs and Border Protection

Virtually of your list are agencies funded to provide spoils for congressional districts and places for political appointees to roost.

See The Enterprise of Law for just one answer.

That brings me to another point. Most of you have agreed in one thread or another, that government is really wrong pretty often. That would be dealt with quite efficiently in the private sector, they'd either change or go out of business. The government does not have to change, as most of those agencies you list prove everyday, because they're funded via non-competitive methods. And last, you demand replacement of the very things that make the US government putrid by any alternative government. Making elimination of government argument for me in a sense, since you've actually listed the problems.

Delusional Paranoia - I've visited that state a few times - interesting topography.
