That red one looks beautiful. But, as usual, I'm not sure it is as unmolested and original as the owner claims - pretty darn close, but maybe not completely. I notice the engine compartment cover does not fit correctly. The lower edge hangs below the line of the two fenders. Those cars left the factory with that perfectly lined up. Usually a quick way to see if a car has had fender damage is to see if one side (the metal on top of the turnsignal) does not match the line of the deck. Here both are wrong. Mabye it was just put on too low at some point.

All the Malibu types who call themselves "Execmalibu" have either been drug dealers, porn producers, Industry sleezeballs, or just general trust fund slackers.
Up there, those things are called professions. |

Re: Braggarts
Some guys come right out and say 'look at me and what i own' and some guys play the self depracating game so well it essentially is doing the same, albeit with a little more finesse. PWD i don't think exec has the braggart market cornered; he does have some competition and we are reminded of it every time certain folks tell us how much money they declined to sell their car for recently. I think the personal attacks could be toned down a bit here as we all have faults. |

I CAN PROVE EVERYTHING THAT I POSTED...NOT FROM READING A BOOK OR MAGAZINE
I was told that there were a bunch of morons on this site that were slamming me and the car that I had listed on Ebay. I found this to be true..
PWD72S with 13,500 posts..This guy needs to get a life! Lets review the facts. I am no Poser... 1) I have owned, driven and raced over 500 early Porsches! (550RS, Carrera GT Speedster, Carrera 2 Cabriolet, plus hundreds of other 356 and early 911s) I also owned and raced vintage Ferraris and I owned and RACED an original 427 COBRA (CSX 3127) for over 15 years. 2) I have been a professional precission driver for the past 30 years. I drove the 993 Prototype #2 for the Porsche Factory in their Video that was shown at the International Auto Shows when the 993 was introduced. I recently drove and did slides in the new Shelby GT500 Prototype for Ford. I regularly get paid more to drive a car for one day then many people make in a month. I am either very qualified or the major car companies just toss the keys of their multi-million dollar prototypes to the first person who shows up. NOT! 3) I can easily prove everything posted in my Ebay ad and herein with Photos, Chassis numbers, Canceled checks, Contracts Etc. How many of the people that have called me a POSER have had even 10% of the hands on experience with Vintage cars that I have. Step up lets talk... I also cant believe that some of you guys are that stupid that you would quote magazine articles as your source of information.. "Car and Driver" Thats VERY FUNNY!.. Some of us have actually driven these rare cars flat out in anger and dont just read about it. Robin Williams said in the movie "Good Will Hunting" ... "I know that you can tell me every detail about the Sistene Chapel from what you read in some book. "But can you tell me what it smells like to actually be there?" Reading about going 175 mph in a 427 Cobra Aint the same as hearing the roar and feeling the rushing wind... I am more then willing to put my money where my mouth is! For those man enough to step up.. I offer to clip a $100 bill to the sunvisor of the 1973 911S as I shift through the first 3 gears at over 8,500RPM if the engine does not pull to 8,500 RPM the $100 is yours!... Of course I will expect that you guys are man enough to match the offer and if the engine does pull 8,500 then I get your $100. I offer to do this for 10 different people to prove it is no trick and that the engine will perform exactly as I represent. I will also do speed runs with a GPS to verify that the Speedo is accurate (within 2-3 MPH at 80 MPH). If it is I will also get $100 right? To also prove what I have said about this car I have numerous witnesses. Tony from TLG Porsche was sitting in the car when we were racing a number of other Porsches on a very long stretch in the Mojave Desert. The speedo showed 168MPH.. Dave from TRE Porsche was also there in the pack of untra high speed lunatics. Chuck Miller from the 911S registry is a great driver. He recently built a monster 2.7RS motor for his 1973 911S coupe. On New Years Day 2006 I pulled from behind and passed him. Remember I am in a Targa with air conditioning (Weighs more and not as slippery). To the idiot that said his 911T would pull 8,500 RPM.... Once!.... That is a 911T moron not a high compression, ported, balanced, 2.4 "S" or possibly a 2.5 ST? Any of you Guys want to bring out your 3.3 930s and run 0-90.. Dont forget to bring your $$$ Porsche builds a very strong engine and sets the Redline at a very conservative number. I used to race 356 porsches with a 6,000 Redline on the Tach. I would constantly shift at over 8,500 RPM (2,500 RPM over Redline) and I never had an engine or trans failure in over 50 races. Granted these engines were balanced and ported but basically they were stock off the shelf Porsche parts! So you guys should go back to your books and magazines and bench race again.. Let us all know how fast you are and be careful dont hurt yourself or your cars. I think that Car and Driver has a new issue out this week.. Better hurry.. Oh yeah.. I have worked with Tom Cruise and he used our car in the last Vanity Fair Magazine.. SmileWavy |
Come on guys, someone take him on. I'll be hiding right behind ya....

Wow
I must say that was the most angry post I have read in quite sometime and enjoyed reading it.
I have a stock 2.7 (not an s) and pull all the way to 140 with peddle left so i would give you the 165. 8500+ good explanation....I wouldnt do it on purpose, but that is just me..You are only talking about 1200 rpm more than what was normally 7300 redline.. Although I just looked at this post and just saw your ebay...what surprises me is the 24 bids on the car for that price. Now dont yell at me for this, but I find it hard to believe that it will out run a 930 in a long straight......On a short track i would believe because i can do it with my 2.7 and did it 2 week ends ago myself. Aside from that, what I find really interesting is the 2 tits on your bumper...i have never seen those before on a pre-74 car. My 2 cents...... |
Well, I suppose that about sums it up.

execmalibu,
Thanks for posting. I'm subscribing now just to see if anyone "nuts up" to the $100 challenge :) |
I am still waiting for proof on the 165 mph and on the beating a turbo claims...

The cars pulls 930s because I get the jump off the line and keep pulling..They start to pull hard at 30-70mph then they run out of revs and have to shift so I am usually 3 car lengths out front and they almost catch me but never quite do..
The short gears and high RPM shifts are how I pull most other Porsches. That is how I used to win races in the 356 Porsches back in the 1970s.. It was all about gearing kind of like Bikes you have to keep them on the PIPE.... The Tits as you call them are mid to late 1973 USA only. The beginning of the 5 MPH Bumpers.. JAGS, MGs, Fiats all had them starting around 1973 PWD72S I have owned this car for nearly 20 years!.. I have owned my 1962 Twin Grill Roadster since 1981, 25 years.. ( the Motor pulls to over 7,000RPM) I have owned my Dino Spyder since 1981 (Original Paint) ... What exactly do I have to do to become an enthuiest? Please tell me.. By the way the 5th gear is a 29/21 ratio.. 1st through 4th are short but 5th is taller for cruising.. |
I'm not a professional race car driver, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
|
I'd say lighten up, dude. Most everyone was just asking if this was possible! And you have to take some responsibility for the writeup on ebay.
|
For what its worth, my GPS reads 80mph when my car reads 80mph. When my speedo reads 120mph, GPS reads 109mph.

Well, so far in this thread (and it's far from over ...) he's been called a liar, a braggert, classless, an idiot, a drug dealer, etc., etc. And his beautiful car has been called a Piece of ***** ........ welcome to Pelican! |
cegerer
You forgot a few..
"porn producers, Industry sleezeballs, or just general trust fund slackers. " After thinking about it for a minute or so (thats all the time they are worth) these guys are experts and must be right.. It is impossible for a 2.4 liter to pull 165MPH. The fact that they have no idea about the Compression Ratio, Cam Timing, Port Sizes, etc is irrelevant. I decided that they should contact Nascar, FIA, NHRA and the other race santioning bodies to tell them that they did the math and who is going to have the fastest car next year. That way nobody will need to race because they did the math and the results are absolutely definitive. Who needs R and D? or hours of track time. You can build the fastest car with only a computer. |
