Is he in a 24 hr. clinic or in the "across the way" vets office?...or are they one 'n the same?

"dumbass" - Ain't that the truth. They love that strange stuff, don't they! As much as they're our babies, they're still all dog, by God.

"...crapped all over the vets office..." - Good news.

Henry 'n his brother need for their daddy to snag a bullet proof vest for those future high speed runs into Youngstown in the dead of night, eh?

Hope all is well soon for that darling sweet pup.
Thanks for the update.

Hey Don, He is in the vet across the ways care ..thankfully. She was very kind and gentle to him. He has a hard enough time getting around because of his knees but the fever and weakness make it really hard for him to get around. I had to carry him into the office, with help of course. 105 lbs. of dead weight. I talked to a guy that I am restoring a shotgun for tonight who raises Griffons. I told him about The Big H and he agrees with the vet. He said it happens to his field dogs once in a while. They get REAL sick then recover and are smart for a while but eventually they do it again. We are deep in deer country and they visit here every night. So the ingredients are out there for this situation. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Yep. We all hope for the best, because we all know the deep sadness of losing a much loved pet.

Whew! Sounds like you dodged the bullet this time. He's a lucky pup to have loving caretakers.

He is home today. Still really weak and can't walk on his own power without a towel under him to hold him up. The fever is broken. They gave me a basket of drugs,of course, to give him twice a day. I picked him up in the P car today as he loves to ride in it and it is a lot lower to the ground than the truck. His blood work indicates he has a serious gastro infection so that is what we are treating him for. He is sleeping peacefully now on his own bed and snoring loudly. Music to our ears. I will keep you all posted. Again I say thanks to all of you for your prayers and caring messages. You all are the best.

Yeah when they are 105 lbs they are too heavy to carry around or be a lap dog...I dearly do love the darlins though...and I still miss my Big Boy...am glad that your Big Boy is on the mend.

well we aren't out of the woods yet. To even the score on crapping all over the vets office yesterday, today he barfed all over our house today. Still good to have him home. I told him everybody was pulling for him. He lifted his ears.....that's a good sign.

Tabs I have thought about George many times last few days. I think I miss him for you.

Great news, something to make you laugh.
My new family member Sam (Blonde Lab. ) 6 pounds when found, weighed in at 94 lbs (he is 8 months old) at the emergency room Sat. night. He has a broken R rear toe. Some $$,3 splints chewed, 1 couch & a new window in the bathroom wall at dog level of course.
...love that dam# dog.

Ya gotta love em. We sure do. On another subject, my buddy that raises Griffons (see above) repossesed one of his males from a neglectful owner. However he has 9 dogs now and his wife is not speaking to him for bringing " Louie" back to the ranch. Louie may be living with all of us soon. I wish I was my vet!
