works for me, if you planned on voting...you have had plenty of time to get your sh$t together, besides the voter card, I would want to see some ID also.

My guess would be that Republicans AND Democrats were turned away....of course some will only care about one side or the other.

The thread title says Republicans. Based on the article (couldn't get the link to work) one guy couldn't vote. So probably only one person was turned away?

We have to show a picture ID here in AZ (drivers license or the like) or two oter documents which have your name and current address. Of course, if I filched mail from my neighbor's trash can, I could vote for him.

Photo ID should be a requirement.

In GA. all the dems are pissed off because they are trying to make a law that you must must have photo ID to vote, the dem in FL are throwing the same fits. Funny, you have to have a photo ID to buy beer, but some nuts think it will keep some people from voting

Just because you read it does not make it true. . You need a S.C. driver’s license, S.C. voter registration card, or S.C. identification card to vote in South Carolina.

lets see, i drove to the polling place on my way home and i need my ID for that. why wouldn't i have my ID on me when i entered the polling place.

if your stupid enough not to think you might need your voter card and ID. I don't want you voting anyway.

Actually, in the story you linked to, there was a statement about one, that's o-n-e, that's "1", Republican being turned away. Your post title is misleading.

Since you cannot register to vote by party affiliation in VA, they don't know who to turn away at the polls. And today was the first time I have ever been asked for id at a polling station. The gov. of SC was turned away today for forgetting to bring his voter id card. Good! We need to thin the gene pool a bit. If you're so stupid as to fall for some of the dirty tricks played today, then you should not be voting. Why does the FBI need to investigate allegations of people being told to vote yesterday or being threatened with arrest if they voted today? We need to get such people out of the voting pool. Life is hard on stupid people.
