When in US, 3 debit cards, Corporate Amex and $5 to $100 depending on last ATM visit.

In Asia, 3 debit cards, Corporate Amex, Passport and US$50 TO US$200 in local currency. Lots of cash only places around.

Change for $20? Less than half the time.

i hardly ever have any cash in my pockets... at best a few coins for a can of coke from the machine (and i've quite sugar so that's out now as well)..or if i just sold some crap on a 2nd hand website

over here i just pay with my bank card ( not credit card )
even person to person i'll mostly wire it over, there are no charges for any wire transfers here and it's pretty much instant..

Have not been to an ATM in years unless overseas. Carry $300-$500 in cash most of the time just in case something pops up where they do not take cash. Plastic takes care of the rest.
