ls-1 into a 911

Renegade is planning a kit to put a ls-1 instead of a sbc into a 911. Hmmm, that will make me cancel my order and change it up.
FYI the LS-1 is lighter than the SBC. How much I do not know.

Ive got my car prepared for the conversion to a SBC ( bought a roller 930 salvage title ), so dont blast me for entertaining the idea

I won't hack ya. I'm hoping to find a roller so I can put a VW diesel engine with compound turbos in it.

My dream is to convert a 944 to mid-engine (put the engine in the rear hatch area) with a V12 twin turbo.

But I'm silly like that.

Someday. . . someday. . .

Completely unrelated to the topic, but here's a neat Toyota swap: http://www.1uzfe.com/

I saw a 930 with a mid-engined V-8. Used the transaxle from a GM motorhome, the ones that used a 454 and front-wheel drive.

Amazing inginuity. The builder's only complaint was that the transaxle only came with 3.07 gears, and he couldn't get under 10 seconds on the drag strip.
