Command+shift+4 gives you a cursor that lets you "crop" a portion of the screen and saves to a file on your desktop.

Yeah, you're right. Better to have your stuff hidden deep in a simmering cauldron of DOS code and nearly impossible to find.

For my own uses, I'd buy an Apple used. I saw a two-year-old laptop going for $250.

Would rather eat dirt than use a Mac. The fact that they now can "talk" with PC systems shows which one is more desirable.

Flak vest is now firmly on!

So Porsche has finally relented and agreed to occasionally drive on the same roads with the Fords. Hardly a victory for Ford.

Preview will also let you change file format and do color correction. No image size changes though.

That is such twisted logic....... Mac had to do that so they could talk to those people still in the stone age.

Exactly. Sort of a "Rosetta stone" for communicating with the technically illiterate.

Correction, they have always been able to talk with PC Systems. It's the other way around that was a problem.

The only difference is they now run Windows natively. A byproduct of switching chip vendors.

Why the switch? One driving factor, MSFT paid Motorola a boat load of money to develop a Power PC chip for the xBox 360 which delayed development of Apples next chip. If you know anything about Jobs he was not going to be held hostage.

You are aware that a 360 is nothing more than a suped up Mac G5 running a custom winNT kernal?

Scott
