If I recall correctly from LeMans, wasn't the steering wheel on the right hand side. Also, what is up with the front end of that thing? The thing looks like it already ran into something. It looks nothing like a 917. And shouldn't he at least have a Porsche engine in it?

I personally like the comment " it is real goon in and out.

Goon is right.

Ah yes, the lovely Lazer 917 (barf!)
We had a whale of a time at Riverside Raceway when a guy showed up with his "accurate" Steve McQueen graphics Lazer 917 replete with blond bimbo arm candy- we could not stop laughing and pointing- he left red faced with a single finger salute to all of us
if memory serves me correctly a certain bill bradley made the bradley gt for the vw pan, sold a lot of them, then came up with this monstrosity. Sold quite a few- they always come up on e bay. Because of this and other kit car kreations, he made a bundle of money and owned some very special real Porsches - like 904, 906 etc

so... did the end justify the means?

".... Early 60's VW engine"

Yep, that was the pinnacle of VW engine design. I bet it goes like stink!

Windows need to be tinted a lot darker... to make sure no one can see you in it! Only way I'd stop laughing is if I saw it hit 200 mph, otherwise it's just too ugly to be taken seriously.

I wish Porsche attorneys would make him remove the crests and Porsche name, that thing is hideous.

Now come on guys. Really look at it. If we removed that countach winglet airfoil whatever, then bent the frontend back down, then somehow fixed the rearend to look good, then placed some more authentic wheels, and added another fan on the other side, then well.....we might have some POS!

the best / worst rep-car I have seen was puka McL GT-6
real body grafted on a vw pan
the car looked real
and the fool owner thought it was a classic
and priced it like one at 20k

I said I rather have a V8!!
