First Michael Richards, and now Rosie!!!?
It looks like Rosie has now stuck her foot in her mouth -- again.
 I wonder if she will also report to therapy, do the talk show circuit repeating her apology and hire a few big-wigs from the Asian community in order to do penance?I guess the big difference is that I don't see very many Asians using the term "ching-chong", either as part of comedy routines nor in daily conversation.

I've noticed a trend here... people that seem to be the most "offended" by prejudice are those that are speaking out because their liberal guilt wants to counter-act their own prejudices (the Ryan Phillipe character in CRASH comes to mind).
It makes sense. Think about it, who are the most outspoken advocates against homosexuality? Closeted gays, if recent right-wing scandals are any indication.

She rails against Kelly Ripa for being a "homophobe" after Ripa made a joke on air, she rails against Michael Richards for using the N word and then proceeds to use her own racial slur and refuse to apologize for that.
