Ron is a stand-up guy. No question of that.

I was going to be getting together with Ron yesterday while flying home from working overseas. Damm if plans did not change the night before and now am connecting somewhere other than NYC.

Was looking forwards to buying Ron the first round on my layover but its going to have to be next trip!

I should have never had that last round. I am paying for it today. I am sooooooo hung over. I did not drink nearly enough water before heading to bed.

Pat, Ron sent me a crisp 20 with a note to share a bottle of wine with Jay. We met up at Karens on Main last night, drank some very generous pours of the house Cabernet and chatted it up for a couple of hours.

Have a safe trip Jay, and everyone else be safe.

Ron, thank you so much. You are a great guy and that was really nice of you.

Never met Ron, but love the movie Ronin. Great car chase scenes across the French Riveria.

Hopefully, my newly reconditioned 16"x 7's & 8's will be in hand by the next drive, be it this spring or next fall, though Weidman was pretty cagey about the time frame for them.

Meanwhile, I'll either lower the rear axle myself or bite the bullet and get it done. I want it down to euro-spec height, and I'd like the Elephant Racing poly-bronze bushings installed at that time.

The upshot of all this is that I should be a touch faster next time.

Thanks for the memory
Of rainy nights and swingy hick tunes
And motor trips and burning logs and burning beef
How lovely it was!
Many's the time that I feasted
And many's the time that I fasted
Oh, well, it was swell while it lasted
We did have fun and no harm done

Thanks for the memory
And chuckles when the preacher said "For better or for worse we fix Yankees of course"
How lovely it was

We say goodbye with a wave
No tears, no fuss, Hooray! For us

So, thanks for the memory
Aw'flly glad I met you, cheerio, and toodle-oo
And thank you so much.
