How many of you do this?
So I got this tricycle for my son for Christmas. It comes with all the tools to put it together. I have deemed these unfit for use and took the whole thing out to the garage work area and assembled it with real tools.
It's actually nice to work on something that's not greasy and has all the parts!! Merry Christmas, all.

Nice to put something together that does not require some obscure gapping tools that exists only in the depths of John Walkers tools box.

Oh yeah...never use the tools provided. That's a man rule.

Don't do that anymore! my "kids" are 18 and 21. I remember one year my wife brought me a bike to assembly at about 10:30 PM on xmas eve and I was pretty much in the bag as it was, that wasn't fun.

You also get extra points for assembling it correctly then opening the directions - one of my specialities (much to my wife's dismay)...

Instructions? I don't need no stinkin instructions! I call them "de-structions" anyway, they are as clear as mud.
Best to break out the power tools, beer and carefully selected swear words...just do it out of sight of your kids!

I will admit to opening the directions on this one....I had a few drinks with dinner and my concentration wasn't up to figuring it out on my own. ![]() No upgrades... I'll make sure he can reach the pedals first.
