i think he would simply invade SK...
and he has the conventional weaponry and manpower to do it
Seoul is real close to the border and he knows the US has it's resources tied up elsewhere...and China is still around and still protective over it's little hardassed neighbour

realistically the Il Kim jong is in a pretty good barganing position and he knows it all to well...

the only way to deal with his rule, is to deal with his person
which is pretty much a suicide mission for anybody in the team that goes in...and failure is not an option
and KJI is smart enough not to leave the protection of his own turf... so no chance in hell of taking him down off site...


if only KJI could do something to tick off OBL, burn a few korans on the Pjongyang center Square or something, or release pictures of KJI taking a dump on pictures of Mohammed? i mean, i don't think DPRK has many embassy's to burn, the ragheads have no choice but to go there to "get even"

It's only a matter of time before he pisses off the wrong people and someone or a group of someones turns all those statues, pictures, shrines, etc. into dust, flaming piles of rubble or so much garbage - kinda' like what's happened with virtually all dictators in history.

For some reason, these people can't see the pattern:

1. Rise to power on the shoulders of a loving populace (usually for either toppling a former dictator or whipping them into a nationalistic frenzy)

2. Corruption sets in - national resources diverted into pet projects or stupid decisions made causing national strife, poverty, oppression, war or chaos.

3. Get toppled, killed and written out of history.

except that DPRK didn't follow yer pattern.

it was 1 rise to power, 2 corruption sets in 3 old man dies 4 son takes over where daddy left it, and sells himself as a god to his minions.
