That was sweet! A good way to start the day - now I will think about driving all day instead of working.

Thanks!

Maybe 'cause it's all clogged up with other vids. ;)

Ah, compressed time format. Very smart, Derek.

Anyone still thinking of Bob's tonite?

Porsches at Nurburgring 1970

Jeff Hailpern sent me this link to racing at Nurburgring in 1970. Very interesting.

It stimulated three thoughts.

1. I'm glad Dave B.s runs are safe and not like these runs.

2. Porsches don't roll while all others do easily. (Very nice for us Pelicans)

3. Watch out for that left-hander... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/dom.gif (no safety equipment?)

That was great fun. Thanks for posting.

Can I ask what equipment you used to put that together???

TooTall 01-09-2010 08:38 AM

Since we are on a video kick I'll throw this one in. A race at Spa for recent vintage ('70s-'80s) production cars. Most of it is onboard in a DTM spec BMW E30 M3 driven by Mark Duez. I have an E30 M3 so this is a little bit of flag waving!SmileWavy

Thanks for posting Kurt. Very cool footage from in the cockpit view.
Nice duel with the blue RSR. The BMW is seemingly fast, watch out. ;)

Wow, whadda ride this thread has been.
Was up near Coldwater Canyon Park this afternoon, and opened her up on the eastbound Mul to Laurel. Whew!

lfot 01-25-2010 09:39 PM

The sun? The camera blacks out the sun for some reason.

Any "tours" planed for Super Bowl Sunday morning? Looking for a fix.

Retrorick 01-26-2010 05:19 AM

I don't own a camcorder, so I didn't know. Good idea, though.
Great music.
thanks

Ironic how the two most potentially deadly offenses (cell phone use and texting) happen to be the cheapest. Park in handicapped spot though and it's almost a thousand bucks.

TooTall 01-26-2010 03:18 PM

A little 917 goodness to brighten up a dreary So. Cal. day. Spa 1970....
