Derek,
Catchy yes...I liked it so much your new business card is ready. So what does your screen name mean?
You have to tell us since you are an official card carrying member of the Consortium.

LOL!!! That's hilarious! Isn't that a variation on the old MIR card?

LFOT doesn't really mean anything. It's a typo that has stuck with me for years, and relates to absolutely nothing.

I was visiting Dave and he mentioned it. Didn't have a lot of time so I just gave it a cursory look.

Just to make sure we are talking about the right car...stealth antenna tucked between the cage tube and underside of the roof?? track timer on passenger side?? light weight body panels, aluminum firewall??

If that's it I have lots of thoughts. Endless thoughts like DOT tires and street lighting.

I recall an ad on Race-Cars.com that looks like the same car. (ad was pulled on 4-1-07) Was it the same one?

Have fun,

This last weekend I hosted an event for 50 Ferraris at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. Here is a shot of some of the cars that arrived Sunday morning.

I arranged catered food from Truly Yours that was fantastic.

Rangers gave us guided tours of the famous Mansion. We learned about the ghosts that haunt this huge house.

At about two in the afternoon we had desert on the terrace. What an incredible view from there.

All in all it was a great day for a Ferrari Owners Club event.

I bet at closing time the ensemble of exhaust notes were quite the harmony.

Didn't Doheny's son live alone in that house?

Is the chassis titled for the street? What year is it? I just looked at it for a minute and was impressed. Built for battle it is. I thought the roof mounted pilot light was cool.

bad boy Radu! bad boy!

Might as well pick a number and paint it on the doors, roof and hood

Thanks Jeff! It's a 1969 acid dipped chassy, and yes I'm getting a new title and it will be street legal. unfortunately I'll be replacing the doors with the stock ones for the street driving.I got to be able to lock it sometime.

what's the deal with the roof light. I love it but I don't quite get it's function.

I found a page from an old article on another one of Dan (Unobtanium) McLaughlin's creations. The Group5 914. I saw this same car during the glass work stage before it was painted for a customer. This 914 was way beyond mild. I recall seeing one similar up on the hill a couple of times but seemed to not have the steroids of the car in the article.

Dave (TRE),
What do you think? Should I?

What a coincidence! Danny Mclaughlin from AIR set up my fuel injection for my Carrera in 1976. He did a fantastic job recalibrating the mechanical injection for 2.8 liters with hi compression Mahle pistons from the factory. Talk about throttle response, if you are looking out the side window and I stab the accelerator pedal, if it dosn't break your neck it sure will be sore for days. Awesome.

Banning 04-04-2007 06:26 AM

That's awesome power, not the sore neck.
