Division playoffs
Yes, my Steelers didn't make it. If they could have reversed just one of their pathetic losses they would have been in the playoffs. Anyway, there doesn't seem to be a bad game this weekend.
Colts at Ravens, Eagles at Saints, Patriots at Chargers, Seahawks at Bears. It seems like any of these games could go either way. I've got to get some beer.

Patriots at Chargers could be a great game, I dont want to call that one. Can the Eagles keep it going? Which Grossman will show up? Do the Colts have a chance?

If you're in Vegas.... Daddy's lock of the playoffs is the 10 points the Hawks are getting from the Bears. That is just plain stupid.
I don't know much, but I know you must score 10 points to cover 10 points. *never wager more than you can afford to lose ![]()

Which Grossman? Ha! They all suck! Griese is nothing either. It's only D and special teams that'll win it for Chicago. And I wouldn't bet on them to show up.

Colts firts game in Baltimore since they left in 1984. I bet there are only about 10 players who were alive when they were in Balti.
I agree with Jim, except maybe on the Bears game. I think that will probably be the best of the bunch and I can't decide who to go with. The Bears D is awesome, but the Chargers playing at home are going to be super tough. I think it depends on which Grossman shows up. I'd also like to see the Eagles beat the Saints with their back up QB. So if Philly wins the whole shebang do you bring Donavon back or do you keep Garcia?

It's McNabs team, but I dont expect Garcia to be in PA next year.
It's sad that many current Colts dont know who Unitas is. ![]() |

I like the Ravens if McNair stays healthy.
Maybe the Chargers as well to make the Super Bowl, though they have a .500 record against winning teams this year. Easy schedule. You can't count out the Patriots until they have been beaten--for obvious reasons. They overachieve in big games. But their defensive secondary isn't the same without Harrison. I don't like the Colts because Manning is the most overhyped QB in football. They don't win big games. The defense isn't great. The Bears? The QB isn't consistent enough, and they are too young. Seattle? Alexander looks like he is a step slower-may still be hurt.

The San Diego Chargers vs. The New Orleans Saints in the Superbowl.

My daughter in law's father has season tickets for the Chargers and always takes someone in the family to one of the games. At the beginning of the season I chose Chargers vs Arizona on New Year's Eve. It became clear that was going to be a pointless game, so when he got his playoff tickets he asked if I'd rather trade my game for a playoff game.
I'm off to the Q on Sunday to watch Rivers, LT, Merriman, and co. whup some NE butt! Last edited by Amail; 01-12-2007 at 11:23 AM.. |

Whoever wins the NE-SD game wins it all.
I'm pulling for the Patriots, but it's by no means a sure thing - that's gonna' be one helluva game (and yes, I'm going down to SD to try and see it).

Chargers / Patriots are the intriguing matchup of the week.
How will Philip Rivers do in his first playoff game vs. the Schemes of the Master Bellichek? Will the Chargers revert back to playing "Marty Ball?" Schottenheimer has not been very successful in the playoffs, though it has not been all of his fault (aka, "the Drive" and "the Fumble" back in the 80s) however he blew the Jets game 2 years ago with his conservative play calling when the Jets were back on their heels and Kaeding missing the FG in the playoff loss. Can the Chargers handle Tom Brady, who is cool and cold as ice, especially in the playoffs...and has ben playing very well lately since he and Brigette Moynaham broke up. Well that doesnt matter ![]() Will the K-Ball consipiracy show up in this game? Probably not since the weather will be so nice. Should be good game. |
