Just Curious - how many LDS guys out here?
I was curious to see how many LDS guys were on the site? If you are, where are you?
|
I don't but I think some of the swedish guys on the site take a hit or two every now and then...
|
I need to rebuild my LDS...it's pretty tired
|
i quit doing that ***** in college...couldn't spell on it.

sorry I thought you meant LSD..
maybe thats why I don't remember, or know what LDS is Rika |
latter day saints..the friendly folk on bikes who knock on your door. :)
|
I'm guessing Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS) which is the formal name for Mormon.
|
OK then, what about the secret underwear?
|
Not LDS, but spent a good chunk of time in LDS-land---Logan Utah.
I will just say that it was an...um....experience...... and leave it at that... |
What federal holiday do I get if I was one?
|
WTF IS LDS?
|
cool chick says there are "nice" LDS by her, and that they are a peace loving sect

This ties in well with the "Emergency Management" thread, LDS keep a years supply of food on hand for emergencies. I keep a list of mormans in my area and a 357.
|
LOL Hugh!! :D
I frequently work with a company whose office in the SLC area is staffed mostly by LDS'ers. One of their head developers actually tried to recruit me into the church during a business meeting. I told him I was Jewish. His response was to ask if we still sacrificed live animals, as one of his neighbors had recently lost their goat. This is what a massive inbreeding program gets you... |
I seem to remember a similar JW thread here a long time ago, it didn't end well.
So how did you cook the goat? |

Had a group of friends at work that used to all get together at lunch and kid each other. Most of us were then in our 40's but one of the guys was like 27 and we'd kid him about his age. So we're talking this one day about, "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?" And this kid looks up from his lunch in astonishment and blurts out, "Ted Kennedy was shot?!" Silence....and then we all burst out laughing. He never lived it down. |
Hands down, the creapiest people I have ever met were Mormons.
I just don't understand it. Ever ask a Mormon why they keep the largest geneological database in the world? |

Funny,
When I opened this thread I was thinking LSD and was ready to discuss the handling issues with a 911. But this PPOT. Best, Grady |

In my defense, Philadelphia is not exactly known for it's Mormon demographics. |

I've know mormons. Well, not that way. Scientologists are creepy. Unless they think you have money...;) |
Yeah, I went to the Scientology center in San Francisco during the holidays just to ck it out. Man, were they pushy with the Dianetics book. They want EVERYONE to have a copy but they want you to buy it. I can have a bible for nothing just by asking the local church.

I actually graduated from high school in Salt Lake City, UT. Sorry V8_Ranch, not a Mormon, but I've been to the Tabernacle more than a few times. My Mom actually worked as an electrician on the new (well, in 2000) LDS Conference Center right downtown.
The only observation about the Mormons I've know is this: The ones that go on their mission inside the US usually come back a little "off". Still nice people, but the experience changes them in strange ways. However, the ones that leave the country (south america, europe, etc) come back some of the nicest, most genuine, friendly people I've ever met. For the most part, the Mormons I've met outside of UT have also been wonderful people. |

Also, they've been pretty weakened since Trey Parker and Matt Stone took them on and won... |
Well, they are rather polite. I got home early today a bit tired from the workday so I decided to lay down for a nap. Just as I was drifting off to sleep I hear a knock on the door.
Figured it was one of the neighbors so I got up for to answer it. |
I grew up in a town with two Mormon churches. Most of the Mormons were pretty well grounded and nice people, but (as with any group of people) there were a few screw ups. I'd say they have far fewer screw ups per capita than most other religions.
BTW, the first 911 I ever saw up close was owned by a Mormon family two doors down... |
