I went to Quebec to repair tranny lines after the storm in '98.. work 24hrs.. nap 4.. work 18.. crash for 3.. etc etc. The money was very very good.

Here's some pics from here at the farm in December 2005.


Some of these trees, all pines, never straightened up again, another ice storm will likely break them.


One did fall, and the tops broke on some of them in another location. Our road was blocked for about 12 hours, no electrical power for 6 days


We could get an ice storm tomorrow.

When I lived in the Boise area, we might have VERY COLD and frosty/foggy weather for weeks at a time. The fog/frost would stick to the bare trees (oaks, willows, etc), melt slightly in the sunshine, and then pick up another coat the next morning. Eventually, they were like trees made of leaded crystal.
