I'm at work, watching movies is, uh, frowned upon. Care to give us a preview?

I don't know. It would be hard to beat Hans Stuck's incar video from a year or two ago!

Which Stuck one, the in-car M3 GTR? That's a good one, and conveniently hosted on Google Video.

it's down, is skipped through it... the fact that i skipped through it should be enough to know it's not up to par with Stuck's M3GTR vid...i'll leave it at that...

Late last week someone posted in OT what was thought to be an Audi R8 in a hill climb contest. That's been one of the better vids since Hans Stuck, IMO.

What you're referring to as an R8 Hillclimb video has been discussed before. It actually has nothing to do with Audi, the car is a Norma M20 with a BMW-6 cylinder engine. A sure giveaway that it's not an R8 is the engine sound. The R8 engines rarely rev'ed above 6500 RPM -- believe it or not! This is because the engine package was designed in light of the Le Mans engine rules with the intake restricters. The Audi engine was designed to generate a lot of torque and HP before the restrictors started to limit the air flow, and do it for 24 hours at a time. This is one of the reasons why Audi made the leap to a diesel engine, because their existing direct injection gas engine acted an awful lot like a diesel to begin with in regards to it's power delivery.

Oh. Well it is a cool video. Even if the car is named "Norma."

I'd give it an A for cinematigraphy, a B+ for charactors (It does have Sabine in it for example). It's real slick.

But it still isn't Stucky wailing around on a hot-lap with that awesome 6 cylinder with a straight-cut gear-box sound-track in the background.

I meant as far as describing and showing the track as well as its history. Sabine is a plus. If you have not seen it I suggest you watch it.
