Cool enough, I guess. I would'nt buy it if I could, but it does look like something on a "Hot Wheels" card. I hated the blue test mule.

I think it looks iincredible, especially considering it'd be competing with what? BMW 7-series? M5? Audi S8? Hope the real thing looks that good.

Maybe the real thing will look better but that does nothing for me. With some cladding on the side it could be passed off as a pontiac.

I think it'w awesome. The only area that might need a tweak is a lower transition to a conventional trunk. Just a bit too hump-back (924-like) for my taste (anyone with photo-shop?). Otherwise, they're definately on the right track. Much nicer than anything else out there today.

I don't know how or why people are thinking it is plain-looking. Park that theoretical artist's rendering next to similarly-priced options from Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Jag, and Maserati, and no one will see anything BUT the (theoretical) Porsche.

Too bad it will be so expensive that none of us will buy one. I really have to doubt the reasoning of Porsche execs when they originally announced how many they hoped to sell each year, along with the intended price range.

Hopefully, it won't sink the company.

I don't like it. The rear is way too long.

The proliferation of AMGs, M-sedans, and S-sedans - and the relative success of the Maser Quatroporte - added to the Porsche badge, which has perhaps the biggest cache of any luxury brand (according to JD Power, Consumer Reports, etc) points to it being a success

Re: I think the Panamera looks awesome.........

For anyone who has not seen the video of the car being tested, it does not look like this. It has a taller more angular look. I hate to say it, but I think is obviously meant to be a stablemate to the Cayanne. There is definitely family resemblance.

really don't like the nose, anything in front of the frontwindow, how the line is a curve but it coes upward, looks to lumpy to me, like they felt they had to keep it similar to the 911 nose , but couldn't make it work...

should ave looked at the 928 instead... sharp nose

btw, those rear doors are tiny... those won't be easy to get into for big people... i'de delete them all together... shorten the bugger, looky here, got a 928 for the new millenium..

Here is what I think, by looking at these photos only:

1) It is quite an over the top design and would look nothing like any sedan that is or will be on the road in the near future.

2) aerodynamically and performance wise, it will be terrific.

3) Porsche may very well "dumb down" the design considerably prior to its release as the consumer has never seen nothing like this before aka "the difference between the Boxster concept and the actual released verision"

4) Even if it was released in this form, would the typical stupid American consumer warm up to its innovative design lines??? Perhaps not, and Porsche is not run by dummys....they will release a car that is appealing to the public for SALES.
