the polished ones are a higher grade tool...

it isn't usually that the tool will break; when you go from Craftsman to the higher quality items the main 2 considerations are

1. higher quality will grip nasty, rusted nuts better and not round them off
2. higher quality are usually thinner (tho still strong) and will access difficult areas better {not that there are any areas like that on a 911...}

Jerry Woods says the German tools are the strongest - and that $nap-Off will break in one motor application - can't remember what, but I think it was something on the cam towers he was talking about. Interestingly, he also uses no power tools; he just takes his time.

randy the rounding off issue is exactly why i gave consideration to something other than craftsman for the flare nut jobbers.
