I replied, "Mother first of all I don't work in a Coal Mine and certainily not in Siberia, I feel badly about losing my dog, I loved him." She then said, "But do U have to tell everybody about it, can't you keep your mouth shut." I said, "No it helps ease the pain if I tell about it. The pain I feel is an expression of how much I loved him." Mother just couldn't handle that and stomped outa the room...but that is a whole different issue that I have to deal with a later date.

good psychologists know they practice far more art than science. Anyone who tells you they can quantify the mind (as opposed to the brain) is far too full of themselves or some illicit substance.

For years people have struggled with the apparent schism between the brain and the mind. We edge closer to "understanding", but invariably create more questions than answers. With all of the spectroscopy in the world we are still just pinheads dancing on the tip of the pin of the mind.

Mother in this case is a Metaphor for Moses and is almost a direct quote made by him in other posts.
