Origin of the "3 Date Rule?"
 

Anyone know the origin of the "3 date rule"? I was discussing this with a potential ex-Mrs Fitzpatrick (this one's a doctor) and neither of us knew where that got started. I did some googling and came up empty.

I think it began with people as impatient as myself, who don't want to waste anymore money on a girl if there's not sex or a very good prospect of it by the 3rd date.

I wouldn't delete the number. I'd just put her to the back of the line for those nights when you really have nothing better to do. It has worked for me and I got lucky once or twice after expecting nothing.

When I used to work In West Palm Beach there was a new guy there that had the perfect plan.

He did not date, he worked, a lot. He made very good money as an EI (Engineering Intern) and was on his way to being very succesful.

He came into work one day and told us how he had gotten blown by the hottest stripper in a champaign room.

A girl that worked with us told him he was a shallow pig. He then asked her how many dates it would take for her to blow her suiter. She said at least 5 dates. He then ran the math for her, he would have to spend over $400 and 5 dates to just get blown. He spent $250 and one evening and got blown by a stripper. He was way ahead of the game.

She hated him after that.

Did he get HIV?

Well, the first lay is really just legalized prostitution anyway. Why wait five dates for it?

Everyone thinks I'm nuts when I say that. If I take a girl out to dinner, spend $100 and then get laid, how is that different from giving her $100 to lay me?

The only safe sex today is no sex.

I'm no Dr but the reports I've seen indicate that there is a very low presence of virus in saliva. The juicy juice is quite another story though.

If it takes less than 3 dates...she probably gives it up as easily for anyone...
I would hold out for some who sees it as a bit more special.

You get food.

But the other way it's guaranteed you'll get laid. On a date, it's iffy.

This is why college is the best time of life. You don't have any money, a "date" can be sitting together at dinner in the dining hall, and it still counts towards the "three".

Well, if there are no open sores in the mouth and no open sores on the member in question then HIV transmission through saliva is very rare. I'm not sure I would risk it though :eek:

College is the best because often there are no dates required at all, perhaps just a drink or a dance at the bar. Or maybe even a drunken conversation at 4am after you left a different girls' room

+1. College is great for meeting girls, especially the ones just away from home and spreading their wings (and legs).
