so after pushing on the spring-loaded pin, and no fuel coming out, I decided to undo the nut that holds the float bowel in place.

fuel starting leaking all over my garage floor.. not good.

i quickly re-installed the nut.. to my amazement. now when i pressed on the pin, gas came out.

tried it again with the electrical start, and started right up!

thanks so much. this would've been a nightmare to do with a shovel. this board rocks!

lonewolf you have PM.

The same thing will happen to dirt bikes with SU style carburettors.

I always had to use starting fluid for the first start-up of the season even though I put StaBil in the gas tank when I put the snowblower away for the season. I decided the snowblower was more trouble than it was worth. My 15yr old son gets to shovel now!!!

i was just about to suggest that you get the shovel and quickly shovel snow into the intake to jump start it.

Sounds like when you pulled the bowl cover off the float extended further than usual and freed the pin. Good work.
