Which Of The Candidates Are You Intrigued By?

I'm not sold on Hilary or Obama, although I haven't ruled them out either. Instead, I'm trying to learn about the less-known/less-hyped candidates.

Which of the other candidates would you recommend I pay attention to? So far, on the Democratic side I am intrigued by Bill Richardson (Gov of NM) and am interested in whether/how John Edwards has fleshed out his policy agenda. I am also trying to pay attention to John McCain and Rudy Guiliani, but it feels like there must be a less-hyped moderate Republican candidate I have overlooked.

Anyone else you think deserves a serious look?

I would rather die than vote for Obama or her thighness. Bill Richardson is the only Dem running I could ever bring myself to vote for.

Isn't it too early?

Had anyone outside of Arkansas even heard the name Bill Clinton 20 months before he was elected?

Nope, but I knew the first time I ever saw him on tv that I would never ever vote for him (or his wife).

If Newt runs, he's my man. I can find plenty of reasons to not vote for someone, but Newt offers the most reasons TO vote for him.... for me anyway.

What about Romney? Other that wondering if the Republican primary voters will ever nominate a Mormon, I don't know much about him.

There's only one good candidate in the running so far, that's Congressman Ron Paul. The rest are literally small in comparison.

Latest: 2004 Libertarian Party candidate, Michael Badnarik, endorses Paul

He'll do way better than Crazy Newt.

First debate is April 4th I think, Ron Paul will be a part of it.

That other former Governor from Hope Arkansas, Mike Huckabee. I've seen him interviewed twice recently, and he was articulate, fast-thinking, and had charisma. And he gave straight answers. He's very bright. But why he hasn't seen a dentist lately is beyond me.

Besides his teeth, he won't win because his last name is Huckabee, and he's is ardently pro-life.

Pat, when I'm king for a day and can create my own fantasy land, you're on my list of special guests. As much as I'd love for us to have a libertarian gov't., it just ain't realistic now and voting for Ron Paul takes a vote away from a more viable candidate.

Mit Romneys Dad, George was Govenor of Michigan in the late 60s, he was touted as being the next best thing to White Bread for the Prez. Then he opened his mouth when asked why he changed his position from being for the war to being against it....His answer is classic to this day, "I changed my position because I WAS BRAINWASHED into believing the war was right."

Even I the Great TABS couldn't make this stuff up.

Considering the options at this point, I would rather vote for my cat!

In all honesty, I think I will have to write in Jon Stewert!

You write as if that's a bad thing. Voting for evil gets evil. There are no other candidates that would remain within the lawful boundaries of the presidency.

You know, I'm so fed up with both major parties, I may just vote for Ron Paul. Would you rather vote for another demican or republicrat who only knows how grow to government and whittle away at the Constitution? If you vote for Ron Paul, and we know he will lose, at least you can say about the next president, "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him."
