Famous people you have met.
I see lots of celebrities at work quite often. I might have an unfair advantage because I work at Disneyland. Anyway, I got to meet Rob Schneider tonight and he's a nice guy. So who else here has met any famous people and how was your experience?
Here is a list of some people I have met: Robert Patrick Seth Green Ron Livingston Macaulay Culkin Drew Carey George Lopez Hugh Hefner (I didn't actually meet him, but his girlfriends were a sight to behold) And my personal favorite... Paul McCartney (Took him out on a private Jungle Cruise tour. Coolest guy ever!!!)

Can't say I've ever met anyone famous. And I'm fine with that--I don't go for the celebrity worship thing.

Eh, a number. Living in L.A. lets you meet a lot of people. I really don;t make a big deal out of it. One of my favorites is John Schneider. He is very nice. Great to talk to, of course loves cars and motorcycles. Always nice to go over to his house have a couple of beers, talk and enjoy the food he makes.
This was from a movie he wrote, directed and starred in last year. I have a bit part in it, playing "Sam" the bartender. Shooting the scenes were a blast! Here's a link about it. Does that make me a celebrity? Maybe I should go out and shave my head.... Dave

I've changed the oil on a few Bear's players cars. One gentleman, a very large black gentleman, #7, had a red Durango on 22s. Saw him a few months later, and he had a Silver Durango on the same 22s. Ask him what happened, said he "had to trade it in, cause it had too many miles on it." "Oh really," I asked, "how many?" His response? "About 15,000."
Really, really nice guy. Really, really large guy. I'm 5'9 and 145#, he's like....6'4 and a lot more...big friggin guy. Mad nice though.

More than I can count. Some are ok, most are nice once you get them in private (had them in our airplane) and some are absolute jerks. Majority are regular people who got lucky.
Met Tabs several times but dammit he will not send me any of his Brisket so not sure how I feel about him this week! ![]() Joe

Oh yeah, forgot Jackie Stewart and Mario Andretti at a Watkins Glen weekend back in the late 60's. Stewart was driving that vacuum car then...what ever it was. It kept sucking up gravel and broke stuff...didn't finish as I recall.
J. Edgar was wearing a cute little poodle skirt and tasteful pumps ;-)

I have met a lot of famous people, and am definitely not the type to celebrity-worship. I waited on 50 Cent because the manager knew I was the only person that didn't give a crap who he was.
The celebrities that I WAS excited about meeting were Kurt Vonnegut (book signing) and Bruce Campbell (interviewed for a magazine I used to write for). I've also met: Wes Craven Nomar Garciaparra Johnny Damon Jason Varitek Trot Nixon Stewart Scott Trey Wingo Kenny Mayne Jim Calhoun Roger Clemens Kevin Spacey I'm sure there are a few more, but I don't really remember.

Chris Cooper, high school classmate, "Bourne Identity & Supremacy", and that nasty new FBI agent movie, among a bunch of other fine films. Very nice guy.

I was going to say I have never met anyone famous. Like Legion I am not really into the celebrity worship thing. I look at artists, sportsstars actors as just other people with cool jobs.
Then I saw Sam Sneed and remembered I worked for him a couple of times. I remember meeting up with him in his garage (he had a boring car I do not recall what kind) and giving him his surveys and talking about the land he purchased. I do not think we ever talked golf it was purely business. He seemed nice and from what his assistant told me he was very generouse and spends a lot of time raising money for good causes. My wife and I met some kid actor while in line at Disney Quest a few years ago. We would have never noticed him except for the teenage girls behind us going nuts and him being uncomfortabe. We ended up talking about favorite old school video games and rides at disney. He seemed like a cool kid, he was in Full House and had a part in White Squall. I cannot recall meeting anyone else but I mgith have and forgot. I met Grogar (Jeremy) on this board, does that count? Oh I met some well known Jazz musicians over the years through my roomate who was one and I met R&B artists as well through a friend who works in the business. Again, they are just people with c ool jobs and I really cannot recall who they were now. Some were cool some were full of themselves. We are all just people in the end.

Pic from a charity go-kart race a few years ago. I'm the tall guy without a hat who's kind of staring off into space. We won the race by the way.
