I'm Sorry, But This Just Looks Disgusting!

Well, okay, I'm NOT sorry. But this is still ugly!

Information here.

If I had to nit-pick.

I don't like the stripes on the hood.

I think the wheels are too big which makes the car look like it's in 4x4 mode in those pictures. Shorter wheels with beefy tires would be cool.

if it didnt have that hideous front end it wouldnt look half bad. Not that the stock front is all that appealing either. Has anyone ever adapted a 911 front on a 914? I wonder how weird that would look

Some guys have too much money and not enough taste. Hard to tell from the pictures but the execution looks pretty well done...too bad he just doesn't know what looks good.

I'm pretty sure I saw that at the Rolex. Why badge it Porsche, he took out the heart and replaced it with a Jap motor, then made it not look like a Porsche
Personally, I think it is hideous. BTW, Chalon did a 930 nose kit that wasn't too bad. I had one years ago.
Mine was converted to a full vert and was white.

I'm with you, Steve. In fact, I was thinking some 15 inch rims with some sticky ol' Hoosiers would be just about right.

You have to admire the effort... This car represents what America has become in the most positive way. Innovation, creativity, technology and the guts to break all the rules.

Just for the record... I am upset that my new (1985 Carrera) car is coming with a Japanese radio!

I recently saw someone trying to sell a toyota celica with a 993 body kit, he was calling it a "replica". He spent a ton of money disguising his car in badging etc...

Don't be sorry. That really is ugly. Don't treat a porsche like that.

Saw a picture of a 914 with a 911 front end, looked way worse than the present example.

Later, Don

I donot get the HATE for innovation here
while no 914 is pretty that one not all that bad
and the whole point of those little cars is to go fast
so beauty is as it does not how it looks

you guys need to remember DR P started out hot rodding VWs
but go ahead and pay unreal prices for dealer parts and never ever
think about doing any custom work
