The sad part is, I give it 6 months before those guns are lowered into a vat of molten metal to be recycled

So he was in legal possession of all of the guns and charged with other crimes:

"Authorities plan to charge them with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia."

Yet the news story plays down that fact.

Silly question. The weapons were legal and so was he other than having some pot. Why were the weapons siezed and when will they be returned?

Driving 111 mph is illegal, so suspend his drivers license. There was no legal reason to take the weapons in the first place, and having hidden compartments on a vehicle, nor siren or flashing lights is as well not illegal. What is their basis for this? They "think that he might do something" illegal in the future?

That has become the basis for most law in our country today. It's just too damn hard to actually catch some one committing a real crime, or to catch them after they have. So our laws are now tailored to catch them before they can. It's for your own safety, Joe. It's for the children.

Not with the right lawyer. This situation smells badly and hope Popper gets a very good lawyer and sticks it to these guys.
