you get into your Daily beater (assuming it's not a pcar) and spend 10 seconds with your keys in your left hand looking for the ignition.
Anyone else?

I havn't done that but I get a good laugh when folks in the shop (who don't work on Porsches) get in and can't find the switch. Or my personell fav. when our book keeper went to deliver a customers Boxter. After spending about 5min. trying to start the car by turning the lock in the center console, she gave up and got me to start the car.

My truck is an automatic and get's driven the most. The wife's car is a 5spd Cavalier that I rarely drive, man does it make her mad when I start out in second! I'm so used to the early 911 gear box that I naturally think of first gear and down and to the left!

Hopped into wifes Jeep Liberty..drove down street and saw a hazard. Went to Down shift...right hand slapped air and left foot slapped brake..
Scared my self, then chastised my self.

....you keep coming back here when there's work to do.
...can't remember where you are at. That's easy, you're behind the "at." Yes, I've stomped air with my left foot before and I'm a left foot braker in all automatic cars. What's worse is to get into a 911 and push the clutch hoping to stop. You have to be really distracted to do that, but I have, once or twice. Must have been that cute booty I was ogling. |

Had to laugh at myself on this one.
I'm eternally confused. Key Hole on the left in the Pcar. Hey Hole in the middle in my SAAB. Key Hole on the right in my VW. WJ

My, you know your hooked moment, was when I was taking a wiz at a urinal and got jealous. Not because of the guy next to me, but because it puts out 3.8L per flush. I wish I had 3.8L in my engine compartment.

When you go for a ride in a lighweight turbo early car, get sucked back in the seat during the rapid acceleration from 20-50mph (in city traffic) and spend the rest of the weekend pretending your Jeep Cherokee Sport is a manual trans p-car.
Or When you start driving your Cherokee like it's a sports car, and then realise that it is, in fact, not a manual, but an auto, and it sits up a considerable bit higher than a P-car. But, IMHO, it puts the 'Sport' in Sport Utility! Also when you check here and your email every hour, sometimes more than that, to see if anyone has replied to your posts when you should be doing something much more worthwhile, like studying for a midterm...

I keep forgetting where Reverse is located.
Thing - Bottom Left VW Jetta - Upper Left Porsche - Bottom Right Back garage wall is still in one peice so far  Also, I was drivng the thing today and forgot it doesn't take sharp turns well at high speed like the Porsche
