It really is sad that something is put up as a sincere attaboy to the moderators and is immediately attacked as obsequious blather. Further confirmation of my belief that the average person is a total waste of skin. I am not surprised a bit.
You believe that because people are smart-asses on a web BBS, the average person is a "waste of skin"? And I suppose you consider yourself a shining example of a humanitarian, right? Do you see any conflict there?

Not at all. Did you read what I wrote before you responded, or just did not completely comprehend what it said?

Obviously you don't get out much if you think there has been no deterioration in the civility and respect that people show one another in public. It is worse in a venue with little or no consequences. Does that make more sense to you?

Excuse me??? The mods get to keep all the nudie photos that they remove from the "random photos" thread.

Many people might feel that this is payment enough!

True story, have a friend who used to work with AF1 and he said that they even removed the silverware, dishes and so on after landing....

Really classy broad. Course its now even better with us taxpayers paying her rent and security detail the last 8 years.

Just hit this thread. Have not read all posts.

What´s it about? Three pages of praising the mods for doing a superb piece of work??

Then count me in!

PS: Jim, aka Turbo_pro: thanks for the kind words. We do appreciate it, even if the rest of PPOT doesn't. And for your kind words -- here are some stars for you -- use them to rate some threads!
No thanks on the Kool-Aid, I'll pass...

And, while we're here, may as well get this right out there so it doesn't appear as though words are being put in any posters mouths.

Neither I, nor, I believe, any of the other posters stated that the work of the Mods goes unappreciated. Merely we, or at the very least, I, questioned the convenience of this thread's timing. As such, I would appreciate it if you didn't try to spin what I and others said towards that venue.

Thanks,

~Slow

Also, it's good to know Tobra thinks I'm a waste of skin. Mission accomplished for the day. Feels good to meet goals.

PPOT: Yet more confirmation that elitist pricks drive Porsche's.

I started this post with no agenda and no previous knowledge of any thread posted directly ahead of mine.

I appreciate any work that leads this and any other community towards civility. Being new to this forum and internet forums in general, I have no history from which judgments about other peoples motives are made. Using that same logic it would seem that non of you geniuses have any knowledge pertaining to any agenda I bring to this discussion.
Conspiracies flourish in the overactive imaginations of people whose lives revolve around their perceived experiences in the limited media.

Be considerate, perhaps even careful in what you post because real people with valuable input are being minimize by wild *ss accusations and personal attacks.

I reiterate aloud, with conviction, THANK YOU to all the moderators with the courage to promote productive civil discourse.

Really? With no prior exposure to any previous threads? That's interesting, because your initial post says otherwise. First line, I think.

I appreciate the genius comment, but really, you're being too kind

You seem to be getting quite worked up over this, please, don't take it too seriously. Afterall, it's only the internet.

Oh yea, I really like the line about conspiracies and media, very good!

Have a good one,

~Slow

And if some people on the thread were not such a dick I could post the gents name, and that he is an instructor at Flight Safety International.

Wouldn't that technically mean that PPOT has single handedly disproved evolution? If this is proof that the universe is heading toward decay, that would contradict the fact that there was an evolution in the first place, and that God is in control of the universe.

There. Now this thread is complete. Not only do we have politics, but religion in here as well.

Now, how do I go about banning myself?!?

You as a mod cannot ban yourself. Now, if you would post some really nice nude pics in the "random pics" section and just leave them there for a while, then drop the dime on yourself to Nostatic, then Todd could ban you, even if it were for a short time period.
