Cool My new Sig 210

Oh yeah. Came in the mail this afternoon and off to the range. Lives up to its reputation for accuracy, fist size groups at 50ft off hand. Could not do that with any other pistol I've shot.

I am hooked and might need to have a 210-6 and maybe a 210-2 and a 210-3 what the heck might as well get a -5 as well.

More Pics Here

I have one in 7.65 para - gorgeous! I keep meaning to get a .22 conversion for mine.

Beautiful!

(Never thought I'd say that about a gun...).

Pardon my ignorance (too lazy to Google)...what caliber is it? Do they come in .45?

9mm para is most common. Also available in 7.65 para (only the barrel changes) and there's a 22 conversion unit.

9mm ain't gonna do it for me. That will bounce off most of the people I have to shoot. 7.65 is roughly equivalent to....? This weapon isn't available in .40 or .45?

7.65 para is a bottleneck cartridge. same case as 9mm para but with a 32 bullet, shoots fast and flat, it's a fun round at the range. stopping power would be more than a 32 and less than a 9, but it's also about placement and I find it pleasant to shoot and accurate. The 9mm para was developed from this round

The 7.65MM hes talking about is better known as the .30 Luger....

Danny...I just have to shake my head, at your ignorance....see I'm not callin U stupid or nothin like it...anyway I digress the SIG is the best and most accurate 9mm pistol EVER BUILT. The slide is rock solid as it is double railed. NOTHIN COMPARES...All the Sig Sauers, HKs, Walthers and whatever else ***** is out there doesn't hold a candle to the mighty SIG. They never were cheap, today they are outa production and a Dash 6 is gona run $2500 or better. I had the opportunity and didn't take it to bid on a dash 5 in the box..it went for $1200 and the guy walked out after he got it. However that was about a dozen years ago.

Tabs is correct, they are no longer made. Too expensive to produce. The older ones (pre-80s i think) were milled from a solid chunk of steel and hand fitted. Hard to imagine it is a service pistol.

What do mags for these things cost?

Shows how out of touch I am
A search flagged up that production ended Dec 2005. The last variants were the 210/7 - a 22 trainer and the 210/8 which had the button release - mostly for the US market.

Does it come with pearl grips and gold filligree? I want the one with "John Wayne's" signature engraved on the slide...

Stop shooting at Gigantor, Iron Giant and Godzilla. Might have an easier time...

I have to drive through the "hood" every day to get to my shop (or take the long way around...which I refuse to do). Now the gang members have taken to driving around armed in overloaded pickup trucks, as one would see in Somolia.

I assume you don't have those issues in West Hollywood, right?

oh in West Hollywood there's a lot bigger caliber being used than you've ever seen...

So, how many people have you bounced 9mm slugs off of? And which city's "hood" is Somalia-esque?

I've never shot anyone with a 9. But I did take a nice chunk out of someone with a .45.
