2003 Cadillac Question

Hi,

My father in law has a 2003 Cadillac that has had repetitive brake problems. The car would vibrate upon braking. He had the rotors and pads replaced and the same thing is happening about 15,000 miles later. Is this normal for a cadillac? Is there some rotors made by someone else that would be better quality (longer lasting) than from the dealer? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

David

I'll take a stab at this:

What model Caddy? How does he drive? I have had several GM cars go through rotors in less than 25,000 miles. Not all mine but owned by friends and family members. I was told by a local GM wrench that some are just not up to the taskof stopping a big car and wear out faster. That said, ,my last Vibe only went 30,000 on the original rotors and pads. Although it was my workmobile I didn't drive it hard or abuse it. My Mom's Hyundai needed brakes after only about 25,000 miles.
