If that is what God wills, so be it. Gods Law does not need the consent of man. It JUST HAS TO BE OBEYED.

What is this 3 day Weekend stuff Gods Law commands that man shall work 6 Days and the 7th to HONOR God.

Excuse me? How many years did a large part of America stay closed on Sundays?

Go to places in the Mid-West, the so called Bible Belt and you will find many places that are either not open on Sunday, or have greatly reduced the things that they are allowed to sell.

What you are saying is that we need to return to the laws that say we have to kill those who work on Sundays.

Joe asked for an example of someone who has been killed for violating the ten commandments. There haven’t been any (to my knowledge), and that is my point. Tabs wants to go back to these laws. He wants the law of the land to say that Target shall be closed on Sundays, and if you violate that law, you shall be killed. I don’t see how he can pick and choose by wanting it to be law that you cannot work on Sundays, but not wanting the law that says you are to be killed if you do work then. Both of those laws come from the same book in the bible.

Yes, there are some who don't break the fourth commandment, so what? Tens of millions of people do break it. What about them?

“Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.” -Exodus 31:15.

This is gods law. Kill them. Kill those who work on the sabbath. From the same book in the bible as the fourth commandment itself.

And tabs wants to go back to these laws.

How about the 16 year old girl in Iran who was hanged recently after being raped? Her rapist, a 50 year old man received 100 lashes.

Then we have the workers you see on every street and market in Saudi with their right hand having been cut off for stealing.

Please give us one, ONE example of someone killed in recent history for disobeying the Ten Commandments? One limit, no one who was killed for adultery.

Tabs opened this thread with a statement saying exactly that. We need to return to god’s laws. There are others like him, those who take the entire bible literally. They want to outlaw homosexuality based on what it says in Levitcus, but they don’t want to kill disobedient teenagers, which is what Deuteronomy says. How can you pick and choose the law you want and not the other?

I understand you, and many others, don’t want this. But tabs, and his kind, do.

As for Sharia law, lets see what the bible says about those who don’t believe in god. Remember the first commandment, “Thou shall have no other gods before me.” What does the bible say about those who don’t believe in your god, or your god’s laws? It says you must kill them.

Deut 17 2-5
2 If a man or woman living among you in one of the towns the LORD gives you is found doing evil in the eyes of the LORD your God in violation of his covenant, and contrary to my command has worshiped other gods, bowing down to them or to the sun or the moon or the stars of the sky, and this has been brought to your attention, then you must investigate it thoroughly. That sounds like Sharia law to me, and that is what tabs wants.

I know you don’t think we should kill people who don’t believe in your particular god, but there are plenty of people, including tabs, who want to go back to these laws, that do want to kill them. Seahawk is one. He agreed with tabs, back on page one of this thread.

Not only that, they want this ridiculous book, with these ridiculous laws, quoted in public, read to children, used in the court of law, etc, etc. Personally, I find that repulsive.

That's not the point. The point is what punishment do you reserve for those who break this commandment? The one specified in god's law? If it is god's law that says you must not work on the sabbath, then you must also obey what god's law says about someone who does work on the sabbath.
