web cam conference with my kids?
I'm trying to get more face to face time with my children who live a few hour away with their mother.
She has agreed to let me send them home with a web cam, so I'm going shopping to find a pair. Guess I set it up at home on a few pc's to get the bugs worked out, figure I'll try it with yahoo messenger or such. Does anyone have suggestions or advice on setting this up? TIA

I got a pair of Logitech Quick Cams, one for home and one for the laptop. The wife and I IM each other with Yahoo IM and can enable the cameras to see each other. It's a slow update rate, but it seems to work fine for the price.

I like Skype's video conferencing. It has reat video quality that scales up better than MSN messenger.

John,
I have a couple of Logitech cams that I use to see/talk to my wife and kids on my (constant) travels. I use Skype for the interface. They work fairly good and much better if you are on wired (not wireless) connection. Hope this
